Basic Ojas Balls (good for the Immune system)

Makes about 12

Ingredients

  • 6 Lg. Majool Dates, pitted

  • 6 Tbs. Almond Butter, unsweetened

  • 1 Tbs. Ghee or Coconut Oil

  • 1 handful Nuts (choose one) Almonds, Cashews, Pecans, Walnuts

  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon

  • 1/4 tsp. Nutmeg

  • 1/4 tsp. Cardamom

  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

  • 1/4 tsp. Almond Extract

  • 1/4 cup Oats or Granola

  • Pinch of Sea Salt

Food Processor:

Chop dates by hand into smaller pieces. In a food processor grind the dates, granola, spices, extracts, and nuts. Grind till granola is a meal consistency and nuts are still a bit chunky. Add ghee, and almond butter. Pulse till blended.

By Hand in a Bowl:

Chop dates by hand into small pieces. In a medium sized bowl add all ingredients; granola, *nuts, spices, extracts, ghee and almond butter; Mix by hand till well combined. Yep it’s messy.

Note: if too wet add more granola if too dry add more ghee it is an intuitive process.

Also if doing this without a food processor use sliced nuts and chop well.

Once combined roll into 1” balls by hand. Chill for 1 hour. Keep them stored in refrigerator in a glass storage container. (Roll in coconut or hemp seed or chocolate). When ready to eat take out 1 or 2 and allow them to come up to room temperature and enjoy with a cup of warm tea.
